Television Interview - Maddie: Teaching Tolerance with a Smile

Thank you to Stacey Stauffer (Fox 29 Philadelphia). She interviewed Maddie Woytovich, her parents (Jeff and Betsy Woytovich) and me recently about the latest chapter in this inspiring story. The feature will be aired during the 10 p.m. broadcast on July 30 (which is the date of today's post).

-->>Here's a video link to Stacey's wonderful feature.

Baseball Trades: When Logic and Emotion Collide

Just one quick note leading into MLB's July 31, non-waiver trade deadline:

The emotional investment hardcore baseball fans put into the game often overshadows trade-related analysis in the short-term. While it's easier advised than done, try to let time pass before jumping to conclusions about any completed deal. Even a few days will bring perspective. Certainly, a season, or two, more will also allow sound conclusions to grow.

Philadelphia Phillies' trades set to begin

Ruben Amaro, Jr's history can be questioned. But, one element in his personality pattern can't. He's a trader and soon his dealing will begin.

Veterans, an unexpected name (or names) are all on the block. Where his revisions will take the franchise is pure speculation. As for now, this July 31 trade deadline 'could' prove to be one of the more dramatic of his tenure (on the sellers' side).

Let no one convince you, the reader and baseball fan, that they know what's going to happen. This baseball mystery, like all others, is one of the unique elements that makes this game so great.

4 Reasons Why Money Doesn't Matter and Life is So Serene...

This post is the first in what is likely to be an ongoing sporadic series. In other digital words: We will revisit this topic from time-to-time as we all see fit. It's a brief, but meaningful way to highlight some meaningful moments in our collective lives.

My cues will simply be the appetizers. Everyone has different life experiences. So, your courses are welcomed as well.

Money doesn't matter and life is so serene when...

...you have just learned that a loved one has beaten cancer,    or some other major health scare.

...your child gives you a homemade card.

...neighbors are more than just the people who live aside of      you.

...your boss has a stable personality.

What are some of your touchstone moments?
