Phillies -
So, Doc got his 17th victory, crossed the 200 strikeout mark, and kept his ERA in the low 2's Friday night against the Brewers.
Cliff goes tonight for his 17th win and has been making a strong charge to the National League Cy Young finish line since his slow start in the spring. He has already crossed the 200 strikeout mark and has an ERA in the low 2's.
There are only two other men in this race.
The field is led by the Diamondbacks Ian Kennedy, who has 19 wins. His ERA is about half a point higher, and he has a lower strikeout total than both Phillies pitchers.
The Dodgers Clayton Kershaw has 18 wins, leads the League in strikeouts and has an ERA that is comparable to Lee and Halladay's marks. He pitches for a team that is out of the playoff race, which makes his performance that much more impressive.
If he gets to 20 wins, Kershaw will make this choice a very difficult one for the Cy Young voters.
