Philadelphia Eagles, Andy Reid, Bill O'Brien and Time Travel

Headline Topics

Philadelphia Eagles: Andy Reid is rumored to be interviewed by the Arizona Cardinals for their vacant head coaching position, while Penn State's masterful head coach Bill O'Brien is set to be interviewed by the Eagles for their open top slot. Travel back one year in time and make that last statement to the sports' world. Yes, they would shout a collective, "What!"

NHL Lockout: Further meetings between the NHL and the Players' Association today bodes well for an agreement by the January 11 deadline. Of course nothing is certain, but we appear to be close to a deal.

Some readers like to write reviews of the book on the Amazon site as well. All comments are welcomed. Well, the good ones are, lol, but you know what I mean.

2013: My Best to All Social Media Friends in the New Year

My best to all social media friends in the New Year. God Bless.
---Sean O'Brien

Recent Headline Topics

Philadelphia Eagles: The end of the Andy Reid era is not one that I will be cheering.

He is among the best coaches to ever lead the team. I don't place him at the top, as there are many coaches who I never saw. Plus, winning percentages is only one measure of success. The many playoff appearances are also countered by the lack of a championship.

Rancor isn't on my tongue today. I wish him the best in his career and more importantly, peace in his family in 2013.

NHL Lockout: Multiple reports show that real progress is being made toward a settlement in the NHL lockout agreement. Cautious optimism must rule this day and the next few that will follow.

Recent Headline Topic: Eagles and RGIII

Let me be very brief: If the Eagles had drafted someone like RGIII, would the world look vastly different right now? Of course.

The draft is so critical. Clearly, this area of the Eagles' operation has not been consistently good enough over the years. Regardless of a team's record, quality players must be added each season.

Injuries only provide a certain percentage of an 'explanation' for where this organization has gone during the past two seasons.

A new infusion of decision-makers is needed at a variety of levels in Eagle-town. Then, they will need a few years to have their plans work.
