A Success Secret That Really Works

Writing my new illustrated children's book has become one of the more satisfying parts of my entire professional career. Collaborating with the Woytovich family (who represent the real-life characters in the story), Melissa Lascala (the terrifically talented artist who created every plot image), and my cousin Patrick O'Brien (whose creativity established this book's vision) all mattered deeply.

Luck isn't the reason

Many people dream of writing a book. Some actually do so. Fewer still purse publication.

I knew from the moment that I first thought of this idea that this book's message and concept would be embraced by the public. Now, it has and it isn't because of good luck, or good timing.

When a timeless message is told and other talented people are fully involved in a well-planned process, success is more likely than not.

Strong ideas will be backed

In future posts I'll elaborate on why writers who truly believe in their book(s) shouldn't pay to publish their own work. I didn't, because I believed that people would see the value in this idea. Enough people did and this book was born.

Seasoned confidence, persistence and resilience are critical in every life pursuit.
