Writing and publishing your own book

I intentionally used Amazon.com to publish my first ebook:
Fast Fiction and Other StuffThat platform is the number 1 eBook publishing site in the world. That decision has since proven to be worthwhile in many ways.

Writing and properly editing a book is hard work. Formatting it to fit the digital screen is hardly a creative endeavor. Promoting a book in many forms takes persistence and skill.

I'm proud of my tome and of the response it has earned to-date. I encourage anyone who has the ability to write and to publish their own work to do so.

There have been, are and will always be many great stories to tell in our world. Make yours one of them.

Philadelphia Flyers Must Win Eight Games To Make NHL Playoffs

Yes, Philadelphia's hockey team basically needs to win eight of the the final nine games in this shortened-locked out-goofy-season to make the playoffs.

They're not going to do that. The off-season will be filled with more maneuvering and potentially a chance to rebound next season.

The scary thing that all Flyers' fans know is that this team needs to upgrade numerous positions to truly be a Stanley Cup contender. Generally, that's not likely to happen within one year.

Philadelphia Flyers' deal creates strong options

The Philadelphia Flyers have created leverage for the summers of 2013 and 2014. By signing pending restricted free agent and newly acquired goaltender Steve Mason to a modest ($1.5 million) one-year contract extension general manager Paul Holmgren has quietly made a statement.

With two total amnesty options available through the next two summers, "Homer" has created a number of forward paths toward the goal crease.

If the Flyers find some free agent defenseman, or a trade partner that has a defenseman they want this summer, Holmgren could possibly trade (or most likely designate Ilya Bryzgalov's contract for amnesty, thereby eliminating the remaining seven years of his deal from the salary cap count.

At this time it seems more likely that Bryzgalov and Mason will both be back next year. The 24-year-old Mason is a backup that has a legitimate chance to become the team's number 1 starter, whereas Michael Leighton and Brian Boucher were simply veteran stopgap options.

Mason could also be used as a future trade chip if the team decides that "Bryz" is still their man.

The former Calder trophy winner is a good gamble to have taken.

Easter post: Those who doubt that Jesus existed, or is God, will always be around. That's part of the human condition.

The theory of the "Big Bang" proposes that everything magically came from nothing. Nothing existed and then suddenly everything that exists began to form.

Sound familiar? It should. That's what people who believe in God think as well. Except we believe that God created the world.

Secular humanists refuse to accept that idea. In their world, nothing created everything. That makes no sense and reveals their logic as infinitely flawed. Those individuals believe that the information surrounding Jesus' birth, life and death represents a "fairy tale".

For example: A non-believer would state that money would simply appear in the empty palm of an individual, or that a house would magically appear in a field. That "logic" isn't rational.

Never forget that everyone who questions religious beliefs is an expert on one thing, their own opinion. Their ideas are steeped in emotional logic that is often sewn with bigotry. These personality types will loudly claim to be open to every possible form of "tolerance", while simultaneously attacking the ideology of others.

See these arguments for what they are. See others for who they are and NEVER STOP challenging them (through peaceful methods) during their entire lives.

Don't disregard, or turn away from them. If you do, they will be lost. If you remain engaged, they might welcome you into heaven some day.
