Here is a special feature that highlights many of our collective childhood memories:  When Baseball Cards were King.

I always find myself thinking about those bygone days spent with elementary school friends and family members when the baseball season is being played. Don't ever forget that part of who were are today and part of who we will always be, is forever tied to who we were way back when.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Easter post: Those who doubt that Jesus existed, or is God, will always be around. That's part of the human condition.

The theory of the "Big Bang" proposes that everything magically came from nothing. Nothing existed and then suddenly everything that exists began to form.

Sound familiar? It should. That's what people who believe in God think as well. Except we believe that God created the world.

Secular humanists refuse to accept that idea. In their world, nothing created everything. That makes no sense and reveals their logic as infinitely flawed. Those individuals believe that the information surrounding Jesus' birth, life and death represents a "fairy tale".

For example: A non-believer would state that money would simply appear in the empty palm of an individual, or that a house would magically appear in a field. That "logic" isn't rational.

Never forget that everyone who questions religious beliefs is an expert on one thing, their own opinion. Their ideas are steeped in emotional logic that is often sewn with bigotry. These personality types will loudly claim to be open to every possible form of "tolerance", while simultaneously attacking the ideology of others.

See these arguments for what they are. See others for who they are and NEVER STOP challenging them (through peaceful methods) during their entire lives.

Don't disregard, or turn away from them. If you do, they will be lost. If you remain engaged, they might welcome you into heaven some day.

Who Killed J.R. Ewing?

Patrick Duffy knows who killed J.R. Ewing

Last's nights memorial and funeral for J.R. Ewing, which was shown on TNT's rebooted "Dallas" was superb.

The resolution to the ultimate mystery will be revealed by episode 15, which is also the final episode of this season.

Patrick Duffy (Bobby Ewing) said that he was informed by executive producer (Cynthia Cidre) what the resolution to the mystery will be so that he could know how to play certain crucial scenes. He also said that the resolution to this ultimate mystery has been crafted with dignity, respect and surprise.

Along with all long-time fans of the show, I'm looking forward to seeing how everything plays out and wish our beloved Dallas' family the best through many more seasons.

Here is my most recent Yahoo feature article on Dallas and the Legacy of J.R. Ewing.

Dallas: J.R. Ewing - The Memorial

All Hail J.R. Ewing

The iconic CBS television show "Dallas" is experiencing a fine rebirth during its second season on TNT, which I believe is a part of the same parent company.

As all fans of the series know, Larry Hagman passed away in November 2012. With that in mind the producer had to make a choice as to how to handle the J.R. Ewing character's future.

No one could ever supplant Hagman's portrayal of the ultimate bad guy and so it was determined to have another cliffhanger where J.R. is shot. This time it appears to be fatal, as a memorial will be held at 9 p.m. EST.

Before anyone passes judgement on this plot line choice, let's see how it plays out. Also keep in mind that Hagman himself likely had a hand in deciding the fate of his character.

Here is my most recent Yahoo feature article on Dallas and the Legacy of J.R. Ewing.

Philadelphia Flyers: Behind the scenes - Part 3

My photo, taken inside the Philadelphia Flyers' locker room on March 2, 2013.

I took this photo of Ilya Bryzgalov along with another of Brian Boucher in order to contrast the two goaltenders.

"Bryz" remains uneasy in front of the media. He's clearly been coached on how to handle these moments and has taken a smart route so far this year. He's not offering bites to the hungry crowd and is purely focused on the team.

In getting to know him up close, I can say that an English language barrier (as he is a native Russian speaker) does appear to affect his ability to understand what he hears and to communicate effectively. Bernie Parent, who I interviewed at length one-on-one a few years ago, experienced a similar situation during his career as a native French speaker.

Feeling for someone who makes millions of dollars (as Brzygalov does) isn't something that hardened fans are open to. All fans aren't hardened, but a growing amount are and they aren't shy about saying so.

I like Bryzgalov's skill level and I think that he's trying his best to meet his media commitments this season. People who want him to be who he isn't are have been and remain out of line. How great it would be for him to skate with the Stanley Cup held over his head again someday (he won the Cup in Anaheim earlier in his career, while he was a backup) while wearing the Flyers' crest this time instead.
My photo, taken inside the Philadelphia Flyers' locker room on March 2, 2013.

On the other hand, "Boosh" is well-known to the Flyers' faithful. An affable guy, who has had a serviceable NHL career, Boucher is playing in the twilight of his hockey years.

He's exactly the type of person who will support Bryzgalov this season, while also offering a competent backup effort. He's a good guy who is the type of person who could spend the next part of his career somewhere within the Flyers' scouting department, their coaching staff, or in the front office.

Tomorrow: Behind the scenes with Claude Giroux.
