Who knows what will happen at any moment in this totally undisciplined series.

Cliff Lee's 10-inning gem was wasted last night in San Francisco.

Boy, this team's offense isn't fun to watch. It seems likely to continue, so when its on display at CBP this year, I wonder how much lost $$$ could result from people leaving games early?

Halladay is 3-0 after beating Lincecum and the Giants last night. Watching 'Doc' was yet another master class in how to pitch. Is there any doubt that he would win consistently in any era?

Drop the Penguins in Game 4 and avoid further chance for injury.

Whenever the Flyers do win (which is never guaranteed until it happens), they must improve their defensive game. Laviolette's style is run-and-gun offensive pressure, but possibly a more defensive-minded future opponent will force better Philadelphia team defense to happen.

If Halladay and Lincecum are both on tonight in San Francisco, there won't be a better show on however many hundreds of television channels anyone has in the entire world.

Amazing game last night that seemed like a fall exhibition contest, instead of a spring playoff contest.

The offensive outputs of these teams are as impressive as their defensive efforts are depressive.

The Phillies sporadic offense continues into a third season with no end to that atmosphere lifting anywhere on the horizon.

In lieu of blockbuster positional moves this year, ccontractual issues will likely make various needed roster changes only possible when the coming offseason begins.

If the Flyers can win tonight, the manner in which they do so could serve as an indication as to whether the Penguins will be able to fight back in this series.

If the Penguins win, it's basically the second battle in a postseason war.
Phillies

Pat Burrell will retire as a Phillie in a nice gesture on both sides.

His exhilarating hit in the World Series and lead in the resulting victory parade were such fitting ends to his time in red pinstripes. The era of good Phillies feelings continues.

Nice effort by Joey B. last night against those Marlins. More of that and this staff could be better than expected.
