The Sandusky Scandal & Semantics + Flyers notes

Penn State:

McQueary's claims of reporting the incident he witnessed are now being refuted by the police.

It's critical to focus on semantics in this area of the scandal. The meaning of words matters.

McQueary said that he had discussions with the police and with those in charge of the police at Penn State.

If he did so with specific detail, some type of report(s) would have been prepared.

There are two scenarios here:

1. He reported it.

In that case, any ethical people would have created a report. If someone was told not to do so, they would have gone over their bosses head to a higher legal authority.

2. He didn't report it.

He still could have witnessed the incident, but didn't report it.

Reflect upon your own work experiences, because that is the only subject that any of us are truly the experts on, and then you decide what is the most reasonable scenario.

Flyers -

Ilya Bryzgalov faces his old team, the Phoenix Coyotes, tonight.

Any game like that is sure to stir his emotions. Hopefully, it inspires him to continue on the same sharp path that he has been on for the past 4-5 games.

The Coyotes former number 1 goalie is now the Flyers number 1 goalie. He has the chops to stay in that slot for years to come.
